Well, I’ve never really been into the Pittsburgh steelers 88 The Greatest NFL Teams signatures shirt and by the same token and role of the artisan, and I’ve never been a museum girl. I’m originally from Las Vegas, and the museums there were kind of touristy. So I had never spent much time in museums, but then my friend Macy Rodman came to visit me, and she wanted to do all the typical things, because it was her first time in Philly. I was just floored by all the modern paintings, and I finally saw paintings and art that I saw myself in. Most of the paintings are inspired by Instagram, though, which is funny. I was really inspired, and started working with Bottlecap Press in 2019. They wanted to do chapbooks, and I don’t write poetry, but I was like, “I could try to come up with something that would work.” The book is a scrapbook of my life in a weird way; it has meaning to me, and it’s purposeful.
