There are many countries that want to negotiate with Japan for trade but have been refused. By the 18th and 19th centuries, three more countries wanted to find ways to trade with Japan: Russia, Great Britain, LGBT I like my whiskey straight but my friends can go either way shirt and the United States. But Japan still resolutely kept the policy of "closed-door closure", no trade with foreigners, except with the Dutch living in Nagasaki. In 1824, many British ships passing through here did the same. It was this that caused wars between the sailors on the British ships and the Japanese. After those clashes, the Shogun government (Japan) issued a new decree to protect its sovereignty. In 1825, the decree was applied throughout Japan with the content: "Allow the bombardment of all foreign ships approaching the coast of Japan. It is possible to kill or capture unknown sailors in Japanese ports.”
